Workshop on Autonomous Systems and Security Workshop on Autonomous Systems and Security at the Third International Conference on Emerging Security Technologies (EST-2012) September 6, 2012 Lisbon, Portugal Chairs:   Klaus McDonald-Maier, University of Essex, UK Isabella Panella, Selex Galileo, UK CALL FOR PAPERS The Workshop on Autonomous Systems and Security at EST 2012 invites contributions in autonomous systems, architectures, and security for autonomous systems.  Such autonomous systems have to be capable of independent action in dynamic, unpredictable environments that present a challenge in a number of scenarios.  Topics of interest include all aspects of autonomous systems and security, including, but not limited to • software architectures • sensor exploitation and localization • situational awareness • decision making and planning • information management • verification of autonomous systems • model building and learning • system  reconfiguration and adaptation • security mechanisms and solutions for autonomous systems to secure both communications and systems behavior • IC metrics and template free security systems   Contributions for specific application domains are also encouraged, including, but not limited to • Application in space and planetary exploration • Autonomy in Mission Management Systems • Healthcare and robotics applications IMPORTANT DATES Deadline for paper submission: April 30, 2012 Notification of acceptance: May 15, 2012 Final manuscript submission: June 31, 2012 Papers are due on April 25, 2012, and should be 4 pages long in the CPS two-column styled format. VENUE The workshop will take place at Hotel Sofitel Lisbon Liberdade, Lisbon, Portugal, on September 6, in association with the Third International Conference on Emerging Security Technologies, which will take place at the same venue, from September 5th to the 7th, 2012.
